Amanda & Troy
When I am asked to help a couple plan their wedding, I feel so blessed & I feel it is my duty to make sure the couple has exactly what they need and want for their day.
Amanda & I had a couple different ideas of what this day might look like… maybe at my new location (which is now in construction phase…) maybe a surprise wedding (just to get it “over with”) but as always… things seem to work out just how they were supposed to.
After much discussion, Amanda & Troy chose the most amazing location… not too far from home, with so much meaning and deep family roots. The bride’s maternal grandparents live in Knife River, and they have the most amazing backyard space that fit their intimate wedding dreams.
Some of my favorite details from the wedding…
*the family dogs involvement (aren’t they cute sniffing around?)
*hand stitched napkins from Mexico
*Amanda’s beautiful dress (Not every bride needs a “white” dress)
*Unique blue glassware for the dinner
*The family helping to make the whole day work. (Floral work by Brides SIL, officiant Grooms sister, taste testing by B)
*Custom desserts (with pics of A&T) and homemade salsa
After the couple was married, they & their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner under tents that were shared by a neighbor (got to love the small town feels), then they moved their party to town, at the salon turned reception party central!
They definitely had a great night, sitting under the stars, sharing laughs, having beverages, playing games & singing their hearts out (every reception should have a karaoke machine!!!)
AGAIN, the greatest blessings are getting to help a couple celebrate their way!
Cheers to many years of marriage- it’s not always easy but it’s worth it!
xoxo
